The Battle for Black Juxtapose City 3 edition by Tricia Owens Literature Fiction eBooks
I've been a big fan of Tricia Owens since her Juxtapose Fantasy site and I'm so glad she's published my favorite of her series. It's hard to write a review for each book; these are not standalone novels and I definitely recommend reading every single one.
This series is half deliciously kinky porn and half unexpectedly great plot. Set in the futuristic Juxtapose City, the story follows a group of characters trying to prevent a war between psypaths (an emerging class of humans with varied mental powers) and regular humans. Don't expect epic world spanning sci-fi literature, but do expect a well thought out microcosm on how humans of different backgrounds plan and react while on the brink of war. And also how humans, individually or as a group, can and will subjugate each other through the use of drugs, fear, violence, poverty, police brutality etc. It's all fiction but sadly not really.
Despite that I can't wait to see where the story goes, with hope that our heroes will prevail.

The Battle for Black Juxtapose City 3 edition by Tricia Owens Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I really enjoy your imagination, just when I think the story becomes predictable, you take a wild left turn, it's fresh, exciting and very very naughty.
Imagine being able to read minds but believing it made you something lesser to actually do so. No wonder it feels queer to take it up the butt. These guys are sorting out the hard stuff.
The third book of Juxtapose City expands the world we've come to know and love and brings us both back into Black's mysterious past and forward into what they hope to be the final confrontation with Genesis. As Calyx finally gets his barrings with Black, he is thrown through a loop when he discovers two powerful secrets and makes a potentially life ruining mistake. With a hit put out on his head and his heart caught on Black, he follows him into depth of Black's old life to try to sort out the mess. This book is a wonderful continuation of the Juxtapose City series and I can't wait for the next installment!
Well I THOUGHT I had this figured out. Boy was I wrong!! Love the twists & turns and I can't wait to read the next book in the series!!!
The story continues with all kinds of crazy from all characters. Love the main characters their a hoot. Constant push and pull between them is hilarious.
The saga continues with action, suspense, and bonding between the reader and Black, Calyx, and the team. Love to hate Capt. Dickerson and Sundhill. Tricia Owens has another excellent addition to the Juxtapose City psypaths!!
Unlike other reviewers, I don't mind Black's fearful behavior. He's believably consistent, and Starr has already called him out on acting like a child at the worst times. (Oh, yes, you do, Darkness.) At this point, we don't know much about Black except for his personality; it's unclear why he's overly trusting until he finds a reason not to trust at all.
What bothered me about this volume is how others act out of character. Even after reading the following books, I still don't understand certain scenes. For example, Calyx is Black's opposite in how he assesses situations. He tends to be wary of everything that could pose a threat to his independence and to follow his intuition. So, why does he so easily follow a teammate who's acting strangely at an inconvenient time? Even a quick excuse, a single line, would have made that easier to swallow. At least that one moved the plot. Two of the other three moments that bothered me didn't.
Some of the moments in this book are so good that I want to like everything more, but just can't think of the whole book as more than a transition between what happens before and after.
