Having previously dispatched Christophe, the dark demon trying to capture and kidnap Serena for her special witch DNA in Book One, the two lovers believe they are now free to plan and live their lives together. Or are they?

When an innocent mistake made by their newlywed friends frees the way for Christophe to return, their idyllic attempt at happiness is marred by the nightmare they must outsmart, finally, to achieve the happily ever after they deserve.

They know they can rely on their coven to be there for them, and some new friends and additions to the family, as they once again embark on an epic battle that will secure their life, their love, and their future together. Once, they were Spellbound, now their story continues, for love, forever, for Everspell.

Everspell Book 2 Spellbound eBook Samantha Combs

Samantha Combs has done it again! When I read a sequel, sometimes it comes across and repetitive and flat. But not this one. It answers questions from the first one, and takes you for a ride. There is not one boring moment in this book. From the time you start it, just hang on for the ride. Some things that happened in the story had my jaw hanging open. Read this book!

Everspell Book 2 Spellbound eBook Samantha Combs Reviews

Everspell happens to start off not long after where the first book 'Spellbound' finish's. I found that while reading the first half of the book, it seemed to drag a bit, while author Samantha Combs caught her readers up with what has been going on with the book characters since we left them at the end of book one. The second half of the the book, didn't disappoint as mush as the first half did. Samantha's writing and storyline's were more additive. I normaly don't like reading book's that swaps its POV between different book characters, but Samantha does have quite a good nack for it. Which impressed me quite a bit while reading this book. On the downside I did find that some of the words spoken between book characters a little out of place ('really no 18 year old I know would say that' happened to pop into my head quite a bit while reading this book) and the story line that involved Logan's 16 year old sister and his best friend was great for the story but the age got me and why was everyone so happy about it. In real life it would be the total opposite. I can't tell you, what I'm talking about cause it will kinda spoil a bit of the book. So I suggest you read the book if you want to find out what I'm babbling on about.

In the end I give 'Everspell by author Samantha Combs' 3 stars. Everspell delivers a good follow up book to Spellbound. I enjoyed reading it and I have a feeling the next book will be better, cause there was quite a few unanswered questions, that I would like to see answered in the next book, especially about a certain premonition.
Logan and Serena are trying to get their lives back together after Christophe's attempted kidnap of Serena for her special DNA in Book One. When an innocent mistake by their newly wed friends allows Christophe to escape, their chance of happiness is again threatened. With the assistance of their coven and some new friends and family, they will have to fight in an epic battle to secure their future. Will Logan and Serena manage to get their forever?

This is the second book in the series from Samantha Combs.
I love this series! Logan is a fantastic character, who has overcome a lot, but still manages to be sweet and kind. His love for Serena shines through. His thoughts still make me giggle. They also make Serena's twin brother smile! (I just love magic!). Serena has also grown as a character. As the head of the coven, she has great responsibility placed upon her shoulders. Her love for Logan has grown stronger too. As with the first book, each chapter is dedicated to a character. Logan's sister is also more involved in this story than before. There are also a few surprises and revelations that kept me turning the pages. The scenes with Skylar (Serena's brother) and the haunted computer kept me wondering, and very intrigued!
I loved the battle scene, because Samantha has painted it with her descriptive words, and made it seem so real. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but Samantha's smooth prose wove a picture so clear, I felt I was watching it from the sidelines!
I am now looking forward to reading more of this series, and any other books that Samantha writes. I recommend this book if you are looking for a fantastic YA love story full of danger and intrigue.
Everspell is the sequel to Spellbound. I absolutely adored Spellbound and was super excited to receive the arc for Everspell. This book continues the story from Spellbound, but is complete in and of itself, so you could read it as a stand alone book. I think, however, that it is much enriched with the complete background. Since it is a sequel, I need to warn you than my review will most likely contain spoilers from the Spellbound. This story brings all of the characters from the first novel back and adds a few new ones as the families once again need to battle evil.

I'll tell you what I liked about it

*With the exception of the "evil" characters, the characters are very likable. Their sense of family (including extended family and almost family) is so refreshing.

*You really were able to see many of the characters mature from their first introduction to the end of this book. It was fun to watch them as they went from being kids to being young adults.

*As a YA book, it was so refreshing to not have it filled with the sexual content so many YA books have been including lately. There was definitely a lot of romance, but without pushing the envelop on how they expressed it physically.

*While there was a battle of good vs evil it was not a gory nor inappropriate for younger readers. In fact, (spoiler alert) their successes throughout the book are because they work together. This is a common theme throughout both books in the series.

*The multiple points of view added depth to the story arc and the characters. I enjoyed her writing style immensely.

*It had the "I can not put it down" factor.

*The ending was complete, but there is so much possibility left open for another book.

In all honesty, I did not like this book as much as the first. That did not mean I could put it down hehehe. I think that if it took place two years into the future, I would have liked it more. I had a difficult time with one of the story arcs because of the one character's age. That is completely my bias. I am kind of weird, so take it with that in mind. That being said, I really, really, really hope there will be another book in this series. There is so much potential there. I would love to see things from Gypsy's perspective as well as the male character that returned (trying to not spoil your read) and possibly even the perspective of the new male character.
